The Society of Composers and Lyricists Seminar: Tunes for Toons - Jake Monaco Jake Monaco is a multi-talented composer whose music strengthens many projects across film and television. Jake’s music was most recently featured in Fox’s action comedy Keeping Up With the Joneses starring Jon Hamm, Gal Gadot, Isla Fisher, and Zach Galifianakis and Fox Searchlight’s comedy Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie starring Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley. He is currently scoring three family-favorite animated series, enriching the worlds of Amazon’s The Stinky and Dirty Show, Dreamworks Animation’s Dinotrux, and Warner Bros. Animation’s Be Cool Scooby Doo.

Jake has scored projects spanning a multitude of genres, including classroom comedy (Struck by Lightning), romantic drama (Kilimanjaro) and murder mystery (Out to Kill). Most recently, Jake composed the score to Vertical Entertainment’s Playing It Cool starring Chris Evans and Michelle Monaghan, Universal’s Kindergarten Cop 2 starring Dolph Lundgren, and Warner Bros.’ A Cinderella Story: If The Shoe Fits. He also co-composed the music for Fox’s Let’s Be Cops, starring Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr, President Obama’s re-election film, The Road We’ve Traveled, narrated by Tom Hanks, and arranged, orchestrated and produced Piper, a hit Pixar short that earned an Oscar nomination.

In addition, his musical fingerprints can be found on some of the biggest film scores of the past decade. As a producer and composer of additional music for Christophe Beck, Monaco has contributed to the animated magic of Frozen, the record-breaking laughs of The Hangover trilogy, the furry hijinks of The Muppets, and the real-life drama of Waiting for Superman.

The Society of Composers and Lyricists Seminar: Tunes for Toons - Jim Lang Jim Lang is a seasoned composer in the film and television world, having strengthened many projects through his diverse musical palette. Jim is most recognized for his theme music, original songs, and score for Nickelodeon's hit animated series Hey Arnold!, which has aired in over 70 markets worldwide. Most recently, Jim scored Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie, the highly-anticipated return to television after a 13-year hiatus. The film, which features an update to the iconic theme song, picks up after the cliffhanger ending of Hey Arnold: The Movie, and finds Arnold and friends searching for his parents in South America. He also scores the PBS Kids show, Ready Jet Go!

Jim’s original music is also featured in the Ron Howard films The Paper, Ransom, and ED TV. Other film scores include the independent features Born Killers, Fred & Vinnie, White Knight, and Guido. Additionally, Jim scored The Jim Henson Company’s animated feature series Unstable Fables, and Houston International Film Festival’s Best Short Grand Prize winner World Song. He has also collaborated with acclaimed horror director John Carpenter, for his film In the Mouth Of Madness.
