Miriam Cutler has certainly been busy. The following movies are either currently in release or due out shortly:

1. PANDEMIC: FACING AIDS/Movie Firecracker Films /HBO - A documentary that puts a face on the global problem of AIDS as the most life threatening health problem facing humanity since the bubonic plague. The feature-length version of the film premiered at the XIV International AIDS Conference in Barcelona, Spain, in July 2002. Screenings to follow at other prominent venues around the world, including the United Nations on World AIDS Day 2002 and on Capitol Hill in the spring of 2003.

2. LOST IN LA MANCHA - A documentary about director Terry Gilliam's valiant, but failed, attempt to fulfill a lifelong ambition of completing his own visionary Don Quixote de La Mancha film - premiered to wildly enthusiastic audiences at the Berlin Film Festival in February. The film is narrated by Jeff Bridges, with appearances by Johnny Depp, Vanessa Paradis, and Jean Rochefort. 3. The hilarious feature comedy, AMY'S ORGASM, written and directed by Julie Davis (who also directed ALL OVER THE GUY), soon to be released through Catchlight Films. See for more info and to watch a trailer.

4. TANGLED ROOTS (Oxygen Network) - the exploration of filmmaker Heidi Emberling into her own family history which included a grandfather who was in the Nazi Party, as well as Jewish relatives who were in the camps. Rarely seen interviews with contemporary Germans who were in Germany during WWII.

5. DOWNSIDE UP (ITVS) - Can the ultra contemporary Massachusetts Museum of Modern Art bring back to life the economically failing working class community of North Adams, MASS?

6. HEART OF THE SEA - A character study of beloved Hawaiian pro surfer Rell Sun, her inspirational legacy and her valiant fight against breast cancer.
