A quick overview of a subject that is important for everyone in the performance industry to be familiar with. Barbara Petersen, Frances Richard and Robert Sutherland 3:00 – 3:15 pm Break 3:15 – 4:15 pm Music Preparation Guidelines for Orchestral Music A discussion on how to better prepare a score with specific guidelines for engraving orchestral music. This session will also cover information on paper and binding. Stephen Biagini and Ronald Whitaker 4:15 – 5:15 pm Orchestra Planning and Administration System Software A brief demonstration of OPAS, a popular and comprehensive software tool used to integrate all orchestra activities with composer and repertoire information, artist and composition performance history, score and library holdings, and other operational areas. OPAS also offers a number of searching tools, web access, and prints reports in a variety of formats including Word and Excel.
