WHERE’S MY MONEY 2.0:
HOW DECISIONS IN CONGRESS AND THE COURTS MAY AFFECT YOUR ROYALTIES

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17th, 2009
5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The ASCAP Building, One Lincoln Plaza (across from Lincoln Center)
New York City, NY

What’s the future of television? What’s happening in court regarding downloads of TV shows on the web? What’s going on in Washington with proposed changes to the Copyright Law? Who’s on our side, and who’s not? What’s likely to happen?

If you’re like most film and television composers, you’re a little unsure about the future. Too many unanswered questions, not a lot of answers. You’re still working, but wondering if the back end is going to diminish or even (gulp!) disappear. Thanks to the Society of Composers and Lyricists in New York, help is on the way! Please join us on Wednesday evening, June 17th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the ASCAP Building for a full discussion of the future of media and how decisions being made right now may affect your royalties in the future.

Speakers:
KEVIN GAGE, SVP for Strategic Planning and Digital Development at ASCAP
DAVID LICHTMAN and HILLEL PARNESS, attorneys at the Lovells law firm
BEN PALUMBO, Senior partner in lobbying firm of Palumbo & Cerrell.
Moderated by composer and ASCAP Board member DOUG WOOD

Presented by The Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL) in cooperation with
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP)

PLEASE NOTE: Everyone is welcome to the following seminar no matter what your performing rights affiliation.
