The sounds of synthesizers are pervasive throughout film and television scores these days. SCL Board Member and synth legend Michael Lehmann Boddicker provides an in depth look into the toolbox of analog synthesis: oscillators, noise generators, filters, modulators and much more. Techniques for sound creation will be demonstrated on his Moog Modular Expanded 55 synthesizer.  

At the conclusion of the seminar, CASIO will be giving away a Privia PX-5S 88-key weighted digital piano/keyboard controller (click product title or image below for full specifications):

As a composer, producer, synthesist and Grammy Award winning songwriter, SCL Board Member Michael Lehmann Boddicker has enjoyed a long and storied career in music. He has scored major theatrical films such as “Buckaroo Banzai”, “The Adventures of Milo & Otis”, “FX2”, “Battlestar Galactica”, “Bulletproof”, “Free Jack” and “Captive”. His music and sound design have been featured in major theme parks and advertising campaigns. He has written songs and produced albums for major recording artists.

As a session musician, Michael has performed on hundreds of movie soundtracks and albums ranging from “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller". He has been honored by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences for his continuing contributions to the state of the art. Michael owns and operates Sol7Post.com, an audio post production facility in Los Angeles.
