In the special musical episode of ABC’s ONCE UPON A TIME, entitled "The Song in Your Heart," Emma's (Jennifer Morrison) wedding to Hook will prompt some flashbacks to the Enchanted Forest at a time when Snow and Charming made a special wish to keep their young daughter protected. Of course, that wish led to the entire kingdom breaking out into song, giving the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) one more thing to be furious over. The episode features eight songs written by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner including “Powerful Magic.”

The Society of Composers and Lyricists Seminar: Once Upon a Time - The Musical Episode - Alan Zachary & Michael Weiner Alan Zachary & Michael Weiner  (Songwriters/Screenwriters) have crossed their songwriting talents from Broadway musicals to film, TV and online media. On Broadway, Zachary and Weiner are known for the musical FIRST DATE, starring Zachary Levi (Chuck, Tangled) and Krysta Rodriguez (Smash). Zachary & Weiner also wrote music and lyrics for the musical adaptation of the film SECONDHAND LIONS, as well as writing the script and songs for the musical act in Universal Studios’ The World of Harry Potter, CELESTINA WARBECK & THE BANSHEES.

For film, TV and online media, Zachary & Weiner have written songs for FOX, Disney Channel, VH1, Nickelodeon and Amazon Studios. They also wrote the irreverent theme song for an online FOLGERS COFFEE ad entitled “HAPPY MORNING,” one of the first internet viral marketing campaigns.
Zachary & Weiner are recipients of the ASCAP Foundation Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award, presented by Oscar and Grammy winning songwriter Stephen Schwartz. Upcoming musicals include: 17 AGAIN (directed by Adam Shankman/produced by Warner Bros.) and INTERMISSION!, an original musical comedy with Jerry Zucker, co-creator of Airplane! and The Naked Gun.
