The Society of Composers and Lyricists Seminar: Payment Models for Production Music Creators - Elisabeth Oei Elisabeth Oei  – Producer, Music Publisher, Indie Record Label Owner. Since 1992, Producer and Director of Sonoton Production Music, the world’s largest independently owned production music library, headquartered in Munich, Germany.  Represented by APM in the U.S. and Canada, Elisabeth oversees all North American based operations and productions, and has produced over 200 diverse albums for the Sonoton catalogue.  Many of her productions have been placed in Film and TV, including Boyhood, Frozen, The Hurt Locker, Dallas Buyers Club, Spongebob Squarepants, Scandal, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, Blackish, Modern Family and several others.  Elisabeth is also founder and owner of Afrasia Productions, an independent record label specializing in Jazz.

Composer Dan Beyer has written for and headed up production music libraries for over 15 years. Since his work on the 8-time Emmy-winning series The Amazing Race, he has created music for Megatrax, Amusicom, APM, Bruton, Sonoton, ABC’s Fifth Floor Music Library, and many more. His work on the custom music catalog for Guiding Light garnered an Emmy nod in 2007 for outstanding music direction and composition for a series.

Beyer is currently the co-owner of Onyx West Music, a niche catalog of production music for TV and recently founded Divergence Music, a trailer catalog featured in dozens of movie campaigns, most recently: Jack Reacher 2, Star Trek Beyond, Warcraft, and The Shallows.

The Society of Composers and Lyricists Seminar: Payment Models for Production Music Creators - Rie Sinclair Singer, Songwriter and Composer Rie Sinclair has created original music for ABC/Disney. Her 100+ song catalogue for the Network continues licensing to television shows world wide. She was the voice of SOAPnet’s first original series, General Hospital: Night Shift producing & performing on 13 episodes. She has also written for other PMLs such as Megatrax a, 411, and Five Alarm Music.  As an Artist, she has been featured on several programmes including Ghost Whisperer, Dirt, Bionic Woman, Revolution, and HBO’s Californication. Rie also has her own label & production library, I Miss You Records, collaborating and co-producing with a range of producers, artists and writers.
The Society of Composers and Lyricists Seminar: Payment Models for Production Music Creators - Vance Marino Vance Marino is a Composer, Songwriter, and Producer with music in Megatrax, MusicBox, Black Toast, Pacifica, and other production music libraries.  Placements include “The Voice,” “New Girl,” “NFL,” “The Steve Harvey Show,” “Bates Motel,” and the Touchstone film “The Last Song” starring Miley Cyrus.  Vance also leads the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) San Diego Chapter.


The Society of Composers and Lyricists Seminar: Payment Models for Production Music Creators - Benoît Grey

Composer Benoît Grey has composed production music that has appeared in over 160 TV series including such shows as The Academy Awards, The Tonight Show, NFL on Fox, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Dancing with the Stars, TMZ, Access Hollywood, The Bachelor, Longmire, NBC Sports, Crime Watch Daily, and many others. Benoît regularly composes for most of the top ten production music libraries and is currently creating music for several of these clients. Benoît is also a very active orchestrator for many of the biggest names in Hollywood, video games, and television. Recent orchestrations include concert suites of Fox series Homeland, Elementary, 24, Bones, as well as Chicago Fire (NBC) and Marvel’s Jessica Jones (Netflix).

Benoit is also an active studio musician for Video Games having performed and/or conducted on recent installments of Call of Duty, Lost Planet, Assassin’s Creed, and Warhammer.

Benoit is on the Board of Directors of the Society of Composers and Lyricists and is the Chairman of both the SCL Seminar Committee and the SCL Production Music Committee. He is also a member of the Composer Outreach Committee of the PMA.
Benoît Grey is currently a professor of Media Composition at Cal State University, Northridge.
