THE SOCIETY OF COMPOSERS AND LYRICISTS
presents
A SPECIAL MEMBER EVENT with HANS ZIMMER

Featuring a screening of
"SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRON"

The Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL) invites each SCL member and one guest, plus children of the attending SCL member, to attend an exciting evening that begins with a full-length screening of the composer's latest film, "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron", made available by Dreamworks before its domestic release. Following the screening, Hans Zimmer will discuss his score for the film, including a question & answer segment.

Hans Zimmer has composed the music for over 70 feature films. Last year he received his seventh Oscar nomination for "Gladiator". He has also won three Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a Tony Award.

"Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron" follows the adventures of a wild and rambunctious mustang stallion as he journeys through the untamed American frontier. Encountering humans for the first time, Spirit defies being broken, even as he develops a remarkable friendship with a young Lakota brave named Little Creek. The courageous young stallion also finds love with a beautiful paint mare named Rain on his way to becoming one of the greatest unsung heroes of the Old West. Since the horses do not speak in the film, the score plays a key role in conveying the emotions of the central characters.
